Hadith 1740

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Abul Qasim (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, on the day of Jumu'ah there is an hour, whoever among the Muslims stands in prayer and attains that hour, then asks Allah Almighty for goodness and blessings, Allah Almighty grants him that very thing." In the narration of Ibn Awn, it is mentioned that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) pointed towards his head with his hand. The noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) say that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) indicated that it was very brief. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that this hadith is evidence that it is permissible to supplicate while standing in prayer.
