Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I came to the region of Mount Tur, where I met Sayyiduna Ka'b al-Ahbar (may Allah be pleased with him). I narrated to him the ahadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he narrated traditions from the Torah. There was no disagreement between us on any matter until I mentioned the day of Jumu'ah. I said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On every Friday there is an hour in which, if any Muslim attains it while praying, whatever he asks Allah Almighty for, Allah grants him that very thing." Sayyiduna Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Rather, this hour occurs once every year." I said, "No, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not say so." So he went back and recited the Torah, then said, "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has spoken the truth; this hour is on every Friday." Then Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated a lengthy hadith regarding his story with Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him).
