(175) بَابُ اخْتِيَارِ صَلَاةِ الْمَرْأَةِ فِي بَيْتِهَا عَلَى صَلَاتِهَا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، إِنْ ثَبَتَ الْخَبَرُ،175| Chapter on preferring a woman’s prayer in her house over her prayer in the mosque, if the report is authentic
Hadith 1685
نا أَبُو مُوسَى ، نا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَاصِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ مُوَرِّقٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ الْمَرْأَةَ عَوْرَةٌ ، فَإِذَا خَرَجَتِ اسْتَشْرَفَهَا الشَّيْطَانُ ، وَأَقْرَبُ مَا تَكُونُ مِنْ وَجْهِ رَبِّهَا وَهِيَ فِي قَعْرِ بَيْتِهَا "
Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "Indeed, a woman is something to be concealed, so when she goes out of her house, Satan stares at her (and makes her appear attractive to people), and a woman is closest to the pleasure and approval of her Lord when she is inside her house."
