Hadith 1684
نا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الزَّعْفَرَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَوَّامُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي حَبِيبُ بْنُ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا تَمْنَعُوا نِسَاءَكُمُ الْمَسَاجِدَ ، وَبُيُوتُهُنَّ خَيْرٌ لَهُنَّ " . فَقَالَ ابْنٌ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ : بَلَى وَاللَّهِ ، لَنَمْنَعُهُنَّ . فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ : تَسْمَعُنِي أُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَتَقُولُ مَا تَقُولُ ؟ ! جَمِيعَهُمَا لَفْظًا وَاحِدًا . وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، نا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الأَزْرَقُ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْعَوَّامُ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ بِنَحْوِهِ
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not prevent your women from coming to the mosques, and their homes are better for them." The son of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (Bilal) said, "Why not? By Allah, we will certainly prevent them." Upon this, Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said, "Are you listening? I am narrating to you the saying of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and you are arguing against it?" The wording of both narrators is the same.
