It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that while the Muslims were performing the Fajr prayer on Monday and Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) was leading them in prayer, suddenly the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) lifted the curtain of the chamber of Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) and looked at them. Then a beautiful smile spread across the blessed face of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). So Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) stepped back on his heels to join the row, thinking that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) wanted to come for the prayer. And Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Muslims, out of happiness at the arrival of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), intended to break their prayers. But the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) signaled to them to complete their prayer. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) returned to the chamber and let the curtain fall between himself and them. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away on the same day. This narration is from Muhammad Uzair, and he has narrated the hadith with the best context and completeness compared to the other narrators. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that in the narration of Abdul Warith bin Saeed, it is mentioned that "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not come to us (for prayer) for three days." I have mentioned this narration in Kitab al-Kabir.
