( 128) بَابُ ذِكْرِ الْبَيَانِ أَنَّ اللَّهَ- عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَعَلَا- أَمَرَ بِغَسْلِ الْقَدَمَيْنِ فِي قَوْلِهِ: [وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ إِلَى الْكَعْبَيْنِ) الْآيَةَ، لَا بِمَسْحِهِمَا عَلَى مَا زَعَمَتِ الرَّوَافِضُ، وَالْخَوَارِجُ،Chapter 128: Clarification that Allah commanded washing the feet in the verse, not wiping
Hadith 165
نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، نا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ، نا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ، نا شَدَّادُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَبُو عَمَّارٍ ، وَكَانَ قَدْ أَدْرَكَ نَفَرًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ أَبُو أُمَامَةَ : نا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَنْبَسَةَ ، فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ بِطُولِهِ فِي صِفَةِ إِسْلامِهِ ، وَقَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَخْبِرْنِي عَنِ الْوُضُوءِ ، فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ بِطُولِهِ ، وَقَالَ : " ثُمَّ يَغْسِلُ قَدَمَيْهِ إِلَى الْكَعْبَيْنِ ، كَمَا أَمْرَهُ اللَّهُ ، إِلا خَرَجَتْ خَطَايَا قَدَمَيْهِ مِنْ أَطْرَافِ أَصَابِعِهِ مَعَ الْمَاءِ "
Hazrat Abu Umamah narrates that Sayyiduna Amr bin Abasah (may Allah be pleased with him) related to us a lengthy hadith about how he embraced Islam, and said: I submitted, "O Messenger of Allah, please instruct me regarding ablution (wudu)." Then he narrated a lengthy hadith, and said that (the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said): "Then (the one performing ablution) washes his two feet up to the ankles according to Allah Almighty's command, so the sins of his feet come out with the water from the edges of his toes."
