(128) بَابُ الرُّخْصَةِ فِي خُصُوصِيَّةِ الْإِمَامِ نَفْسَهُ بِالدُّعَاءِ دُونَ الْمَأْمُومِينَ128| Chapter on the concession for the imam to make supplication for himself alone
Hadith 1631
قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : خَبَرُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ فِي افْتِتَاحِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الصَّلاةَ مِنْ هَذَا الْبَابِ . وَهَذَا بَابٌ طَوِيلٌ ، قَدْ خَرَّجْتُهُ فِي كِتَابِ الْكَبِيرِ
Imam Abu Bakr, may Allah have mercy on him, says that the hadith narrated from Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding how the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, began the prayer, is related to this chapter, and this chapter is very lengthy; I have explained it in the Kitab al-Kabir.
