(121) بَابُ ذِكْرِ أَخْبَارٍ تَأَوَّلَهَا بَعْضُ الْعُلَمَاءِ نَاسِخَةً لِأَمْرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَأْمُومَ بِالصَّلَاةِ جَالِسًا إِذَا صَلَّى إِمَامُهُ جَالِسًا.121| Chapter on reports some scholars considered abrogating the command for the follower to sit if the imam sits
Hadith 1620
نا بُنْدَارٌ ، نا بَكْرُ بْنُ عِيسَى صَاحِبُ الْبَصْرِيِّ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ نُعَيْمِ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدَ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، " أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ ، صَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الصَّفِّ خَلْفَهُ "
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) led the people in prayer, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was in the row behind him.
