(121) بَابُ ذِكْرِ أَخْبَارٍ تَأَوَّلَهَا بَعْضُ الْعُلَمَاءِ نَاسِخَةً لِأَمْرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَأْمُومَ بِالصَّلَاةِ جَالِسًا إِذَا صَلَّى إِمَامُهُ جَالِسًا.121| Chapter on reports some scholars considered abrogating the command for the follower to sit if the imam sits
Hadith 1619

وَرُوِيَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ ، وَمَسْرُوقِ بْنِ الأَجْدَعِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، " أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ ، صَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الصَّفِّ "
Hazrat Masruq bin Ajda’ narrates from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) led the people in prayer and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was present in the row.
