Hadith 1569
نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمِقْدَامِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُلازِمُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، حَدَّثَنِي جَدِّي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَدْرٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ شَيْبَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ شَيْبَانَ ، وَكَانَ أَحَدَ الْوَفْدِ ، قَالَ: صَلَّيْنَا خَلْفَهُ يَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَضَى نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الصَّلاةَ ، فَرَأَى رَجُلا فَرْدًا يُصَلِّي خَلْفَ الصَّفِّ ، فَوَقَفَ عَلَيْهِ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى قَضَى صَلاتَهُ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُ: " اسْتَقْبِلْ صَلاتَكَ ، فَلا صَلاةَ لِفَرْدٍ خَلْفَ الصَّفِّ "
Sayyiduna Ali bin Shiban رضي الله عنه, who was a member of the delegation, narrates: We offered prayer behind the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. When the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم completed the prayer, he saw a man who was praying alone behind the row. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم stood by that man until he completed his prayer. Then the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said to him: "Repeat your prayer, for there is no prayer for a man who prays alone behind the row."
