(65) بَابُ التَّغْلِيظِ فِي تَرْكِ تَسْوِيَةِ الصُّفُوفِ تَخَوُّفًا لِمُخَالَفَةِ الرَّبِّ- عَزَّ وَجَلَّ- بَيْنَ الْقُلُوبِ.65| Severity of not straightening rows out of fear of Allah causing division between hearts
Hadith 1552
نا عِيسَى بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، نا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ حَازِمٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا إِسْحَاقَ الْهَمَذَانِيَّ ، يَقُولُ : حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْسَجَةَ ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْتِينَا فَيَمْسَحُ عَلَى عَوَاتِقَنَا وَصُدُورِنَا ، وَيَقُولُ : " لا تَخْتَلِفْ صُفُوفُكُمْ ، فَتَخْتَلِفَ قُلُوبُكُمْ ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى الصَّفِّ الأَوَّلِ " ، أَوِ " الصُّفُوفِ الأُوَلِ "
Sayyiduna Bara’ bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to come to us (at the time of arranging rows). He would straighten our shoulders and chests with his blessed hand and say: “Your rows should not be crooked, otherwise your hearts will also become crooked. Indeed, Allah the Exalted sends His mercy upon the first row or the first rows, and His angels pray for their forgiveness.”
