( 120) بَابُ اسْتِحْبَابِ مَسْحِ الرَّأْسِ بِالْيَدَيْنِ جَمِيعًا لِيَكُونَ أَوْعَبَ لِمَسْحِ جَمِيعِ الرَّأْسِ، وَصِفَةِ الْمَسْحِ، وَالْبَدْءِ بِمُقَدَّمِ الرَّأْسِ قَبْلَ الْمُؤَخَّرِ فِي الْمَسْحِ.Chapter 120: Recommendation to wipe the head with both hands for thoroughness, and how to wipe, starting with the front
Hadith 155
نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، نا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " مَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ بِيَدَيْهِ ، وَأَقْبَلَ بِهِمَا وَأَدْبَرَ ، بَدَأَ بِمُقَدَّمِ رَأْسِهِ ، ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ بِهِمَا إِلَى قَفَاهُ ، ثُمَّ رَدَّهُمَا حَتَّى رَجَعَ إِلَى الْمَكَانِ الَّذِي بَدَأَ مِنْهُ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) wiped his head with both his hands, moving both hands from the front to the back and from the back to the front. He started from the forehead and took them to the nape of the neck, then brought them back to the place from where he had started.
