(59) بَابُ الْأَمْرِ بِإِتْمَامِ الصُّفُوفِ الْأُولَى اقْتِدَاءً بِفِعْلِ الْمَلَائِكَةِ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ.59| Command to complete the front rows, following the angels' example
Hadith 1544
نا بُنْدَارٌ ، نا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الدَّوْرَقِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا سَلْمُ بْنُ جُنَادَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، جَمِيعًا عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ تَمِيمِ بْنِ طَرَفَةَ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَلا تَصُفُّونَ كَمَا تَصُفُّ الْمَلائِكَةُ عِنْدَ رَبِّهَا ؟ " قُلْنَا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، كَيْفَ تَصُفُّ الْمَلائِكَةُ عِنْدَ رَبِّهَا ؟ قَالَ : " يُتِمُّونَ الصُّفُوفَ الأُوَلَ ، وَيَتَرَاصُّونَ فِي الصَّفِّ " . هَذَا حَدِيثُ وَكِيعٍ
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Will you not form rows as the angels form rows before their Lord, the Exalted?" We said, "O Messenger of Allah, how do the angels form rows before their Lord?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "They complete the front rows first and stand close together in the row." This is the narration of Waki’.
