Sayyiduna Salim bin Ubaid (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) became ill and fell unconscious. Then, when he regained consciousness, he asked: "Has the time for prayer arrived?" I replied, "Yes." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Tell Bilal to give the adhan and tell Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) to lead the people in prayer." Then the narrators narrated the complete hadith and mentioned these words: Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) gave the adhan and iqamah, and the noble companions requested Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) to lead the prayer. Then, when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) felt a little better, he asked: "Has the prayer been established?" I replied, "Yes." He (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered: "Bring a man to me so that I may lean on him." So they brought Sayyiduna Barirah (may Allah be pleased with him) and another man. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) leaned on both of them and came for the prayer. He was seated beside Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him). Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), upon seeing him, wanted to move back, but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stopped him until they finished the prayer. Then they narrated the rest of the hadith, and this hadith is from Qasim.
