جماع أبواب قيام المأمومين خلف الإمام وما فيه من السننChapters on Followers Standing Behind the Imam
(50) بَابُ ذِكْرِ الدَّلِيلِ عَلَى ضِدِّ قَوْلِ مَنْ زَعَمَ أَنَّ الْمَأْمُومَ يَقُومُ خَلْفَ الْإِمَامِ يَنْتَظِرُ مَجِيءَ غَيْرِهِ50| Evidence against those who claim the follower should stand behind the imam waiting for others
Hadith 1534
نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ بُنْدَارٌ ، نا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ جَعْفَرٍ ، نا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ كُهَيْلٍ ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " بِتُّ فِي بَيْتِ خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةَ ، فَتَتَبَّعْتُ كَيْفَ يُصَلِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، ثُمَّ قَامَ يُصَلِّي ، فَجِئْتُ فَقُمْتُ إِلَى جَنْبِهِ ، فَقُمْتُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ ، وَقَالَ : فَأَخَذَنِي فَأَقَامَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ "
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that I spent a night at the house of my maternal aunt, Sayyida Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her). I tried to find out how the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the (tahajjud) prayer. (The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, rested for a while) then he stood up and began to pray. So I also came and stood on his left side. He (peace and blessings be upon him) took hold of me and made me stand on his right side.
