Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the iqamah for prayer was pronounced and a man began talking to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), until the noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) fell asleep. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up and led the prayer. In the narration of Janab al-Dawraqi, these words are mentioned: The iqamah for prayer was given and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was quietly talking with a man in the corner of the mosque. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up for prayer when some people had already fallen asleep.
