Hadith 150
نا الزَّعْفَرَانِيُّ ، وَزِيَادُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْحَسَّانِيُّ ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ حَاتِمِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ الْمَدَائِنِيُّ ، وَرِزْقُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى ، وَالْجَمَاعَةُ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ لَقِيطِ بْنِ صَبِرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَخْبِرْنِي عَنِ الْوُضُوءِ ، قَالَ : " أَسْبِغِ الْوُضُوءَ ، وَخَلِّلِ الأَصَابِعَ ، وَبَالِغْ فِي الاسْتِنْشَاقِ ، إِلا أَنْ تَكُونَ صَائِمًا "
It is narrated from Hazrat Laqit bin Sabrah, he says, I submitted, O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), tell me about ablution. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Perform ablution completely, pass your fingers through (the gaps of) your fingers, and if you are not fasting, sniff water up into your nose thoroughly."
