(709) بَابُ ذِكْرِ عِظَةِ الْإِمَامِ النِّسَاءَ وَتَذْكِيرِهِ إِيَّاهُنَّ وَأَمْرِهِ إِيَّاهُنَّ بِالصَّدَقَةِ بَعْدَ خُطْبَةِ الْعِيدَيْنِ709| The imam exhorting and reminding the women and commanding them to give charity after the Eid sermon
Hadith 1459
نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، نَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ : إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " قَامَ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ ، فَبَدَأَ بِالصَّلاةِ قَبْلَ الْخُطْبَةِ ، ثُمَّ خَطَبَ النَّاسَ ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَزَلَ ، فَأَتَى النِّسَاءَ ، فَذَكَّرَهُنَّ وَهُوَ يَتَوَكَّأُ عَلَى يَدِ بِلالٍ ، وَبِلالٌ بَاسِطٌ ثَوْبَهُ ، يُلْقِينَ النِّسَاءُ صَدَقَةً " ، قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ : زَكَاةُ يَوْمِ الْفِطْرِ ؟ قَالَ : " لا ، وَلَكِنَّهُ صَدَقَةٌ يَتَصَدَّقْنَ بِهَا حِينَئِذٍ ، تُلْقِي الْمَرْأَةُ فَتْخَهَا ، وَيُلْقِينَ " ، قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ : أَتَرَى حَقًّا عَلَى الإِمَامِ الآنَ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ النِّسَاءَ حِينَ يَفْرُغَ ، فَيُذَكِّرَهُنَّ ؟ قَالَ : " أَيْ ، لَعَمْرِي إِنَّ ذَلِكَ لَحَقٌّ عَلَيْهِمْ ، وَمَالَهُمْ لا يَفْعَلُونَ ذَلِكَ ؟ "
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up on the day of Eid al-Fitr, and he began with the prayer before the sermon, then he addressed the people with the sermon. When the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) finished, he went to the women and advised them, while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was leaning on the hand of Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him). And Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) had spread out his cloth, in which the women were putting charity. Ibn Jurayj says: I asked Imam Ata, was this the charity of Fitr? He replied: No, but it was a general charity which they gave at that time. A woman would put her bracelet or ring (in Bilal’s cloth) and they were giving those (jewelry, etc.) as charity. I asked Ata: In your view, is it still necessary and obligatory for the Imam to go to the women after finishing the sermon and advise them? He replied: Yes, by my life, it is obligatory upon them. What is the reason that they do not do so?
