(708) بَابُ انْتِظَارِ الْقَوْمِ الْإِمَامَ جُلُوسًا فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ بَعْدَ فَرَاغِهِ مِنَ الْخُطْبَةِ لِيَعِظَ النِّسَاءَ وَيُذَكِّرَهُنَّ708| The people waiting seated after the sermon on the two Eids for the imam to exhort the women
Hadith 1458
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ مَخْلَدٍ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " شَهِدْتُ صَلاةَ الْفِطْرِ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ ، وَعُمَرَ ، وَعُثْمَانَ ، فَكُلُّهُمْ يُصَلِّيهَا قَبْلَ الْخُطْبَةِ ، فَنَزَلَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَكَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ يُجَلِّسُ الرِّجَالَ بِيَدِهِ ، ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ يَشُقُّهُمْ حَتَّى جَاءَ النِّسَاءَ وَمَعَهُ بِلالٌ ، فَقَرَأَ : يَأَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ إِذَا جَاءَكَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتُ يُبَايِعْنَكَ سورة الممتحنة آية 12 ، حَتَّى خَتَمَ الآيَةَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ حِينَ فَرَغَ : أَنْتُنَّ عَلَى ذَلِكَ ؟ فَقَالَتِ امْرَأَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ : لَمْ تُجِبْهُ غَيْرُهَا لا يَدْرِي الْحَسَنُ مَنْ هِيَ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : فَتَصَدَّقْنَ ، قَالَ : فَبَسَطَ بِلالٌ ثَوْبَهُ ، فَقَالَ : هَلُمَّ فِدًى لَكُنَّ ، فَجَعَلْنَ يُلْقِينَ الْفَتَخَ وَالْخَوَاتِمَ فِي ثَوْبِ بِلالٍ "
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that I have performed the Eid al-Fitr prayers with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman (may Allah be pleased with them). All these noble companions used to perform the prayer before the sermon. (On one occasion) the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) came down, as if I am seeing him pointing with his hand to the men to sit down. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) passed through the people and came to the women, and Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) was with him. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) recited this verse: « يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ إِذَا جَاءَكَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتُ يُبَايِعْنَكَ » [ سورة الممتحنة : 12 ] "O Prophet, when believing women come to you to give you the pledge..." He recited up to the end of the verse. After reciting, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Are you firm upon this?" Only one woman replied, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." Hasan did not know who that woman was. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Give charity, give charity." So Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) spread out a cloth and said, "Bring your charity." So the women began to put their jewelry and rings into the cloth of Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him).
