(696) بَابُ عَدَدِ الْخُطَبِ فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ وَالْفَصْلِ بَيْنَ الْخُطْبَتَيْنِ بِجُلُوسٍ696| Number of sermons in the two Eids and separating them by sitting
Hadith 1446
نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى الصَّنْعَانِيُّ ، نَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ " يَخْطُبُ الْخُطْبَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ ، وَكَانَ يَفْصِلُ بَيْنَهُمَا بِجُلُوسٍ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to deliver two sermons while standing, and he would separate them by sitting in between.
