(688) بَابُ الْبَدْءِ بِصَلَاةِ الْعِيدَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْخُطْبَةِ688| Starting the Eid prayer before the sermon
Hadith 1437
نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " صَلَّى قَبْلَ الْخُطْبَةِ فِي يَوْمِ الْعِيدِ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed the Eid prayer before the sermon on the day of Eid.
