Hadith 1425
نَا نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ، ح ، وَثناهُ عَبْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْخُزَاعِيُّ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ ، عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ الأَيَامِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عُمَرُ " صَلاةُ الأَضْحَى رَكْعَتَانِ ، وَصَلاةُ الْجُمُعَةِ رَكْعَتَانِ ، وَصَلاةُ الْفِطْرِ رَكْعَتَانِ ، وَصَلاةُ الْمُسَافِرِ رَكْعَتَانِ تَمَامٌ غَيْرُ قَصْرٍ عَلَى لِسَانِ نَبِيِّكُمْ ، وَقَدْ خَابَ مَنِ افْتَرَى "
Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Duha prayer is two rak‘ahs, the Jumu‘ah prayer is two rak‘ahs, the Eid al-Fitr prayer is also two rak‘ahs, and the traveler’s prayer is also two rak‘ahs. These are complete prayers, without shortening, as conveyed by your Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). And whoever fabricates a lie against him has failed and is ruined.
