(674) بَابُ إِعَادَةِ الْخُطْبَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ بَعْدَ صَلَاةِ الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ.674| Repeating the second sermon after the rain prayer
Hadith 1422
حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ أَخْرَمَ الطَّائِيُّ ، وَإِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ النُّعْمَانَ بْنَ رَاشِدٍ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ : " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ يَوْمًا يَسْتَسْقِي ، فَصَلَّى بِنَا رَكْعَتَيْنِ بِلا أَذَانٍ وَلا إِقَامَةٍ ، قَالَ : ثُمَّ خَطَبَنَا وَدَعَا اللَّهَ ، وَحَوَّلَ وَجْهَهُ نَحْوَ الْقِبْلَةِ رَافِعًا يَدَيْهِ ، ثُمَّ قَلَبَ رِدَاءَهُ ، فَجَعَلَ الأَيْمَنَ عَلَى الأَيْسَرِ ، وَالأَيْسَرَ عَلَى الأَيْمَنِ " . قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : فِي الْقَلْبِ مِنَ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ فَإِنَّ فِي حَدِيثِهِ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ تَخْلِيطٌ كَثِيرٌ ، فَإِنْ ثَبَتَ هَذَا الْخَبَرُ فَفِيهِ دَلالَةٌ عَلَى : " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَطَبَ وَدَعَا ، وَقَلَبَ رِدَاءَهُ مَرَّتَيْنِ : مَرَّةً قَبْلَ الصَّلاةِ ، وَمَرَّةً بَعْدَهَا "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once went out to pray for rain, so he (peace be upon him) led us in two rak‘ahs without adhan or iqamah. Then he (peace be upon him) delivered a sermon to us, supplicated to Allah Almighty, turned his blessed face towards the qiblah, and raised both hands (for supplication). Then he (peace be upon him) turned his cloak, placing its right side on the left and its left side on the right. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that he does not feel at ease regarding Nu‘man bin Rashid, because his narrations from Imam Zuhri are very much mixed up. Therefore, if this hadith is proven authentic, then it contains evidence that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered the sermon, supplicated, and changed his cloak twice: once before the prayer and once after the prayer.
