(660) بَابُ الْخُرُوجِ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى لِلِاسْتِسْقَاءِ660| Going out to the prayer place for rain prayer
Hadith 1406
نَا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ ، نَا سُفْيَانُ ، نَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ ، ويحيى هُوَ النصاري ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، قُلْتُ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ : حَدِيثٌ حَدَّثَنَاهُ يَحْيَى ، وَالْمَسْعُودِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِيكَ ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَنَا مِنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ ، يُحَدِّثُ أَبِي ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " خَرَجَ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى فَاسْتَسْقَى ، فَقَلَبَ رِدَاءَهُ وَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went towards the Eid ground and supplicated for water (rain). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) turned his cloak inside out and performed two rak‘ahs.
