(105) بَابُ فَضْلِ السِّوَاكِ وَتَضْعِيفِ فَضْلِ الصَّلَاةِ الَّتِي يُسْتَاكُ لَهَا عَلَى الصَّلَاةِ الَّتِي لَا يُسْتَاكُ لَهَا- إِنْ صَحَّ الْخَبَرُChapter 105: Virtue of the tooth-stick and the increased reward of prayer performed after using it
Hadith 137
نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، نا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، نا أَبِي ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : فَذَكَرَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ الزُّهْرِيُّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " فَضْلُ الصَّلاةِ الَّتِي يُسْتَاكُ لَهَا عَلَى الصَّلاةِ الَّتِي لا يُسْتَاكُ لَهَا سَبْعِينَ ضِعْفًا " . قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : أَنَا اسْتَثْنَيْتُ صِحَّةَ هَذَا الْخَبَرِ لأَنِّي خَائِفٌ أَنْ يَكُونَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ ، وَإِنَّمَا دَلَّسَهُ عَنْهُ
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The prayer for which the miswak is used is seventy times superior to the prayer for which the miswak is not used." Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I have made an exception regarding the authenticity of this hadith because I fear that Muhammad bin Ishaq did not hear this narration from Muhammad bin Muslim, but rather committed tadlis in it.
