Hadith 1334
نَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْجَهْمِ الأَنْمَاطِيُّ ، نَا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الدَّيْلَمِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، وَحَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُنْقِذِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْخَوْلانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سُوَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ وَهُوَ يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو الشَّيْبَانِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي بُسْرٍ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الدِّيلِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَنَّ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ دَاوُدَ لَمَّا فَرَغَ مِنْ بُنْيَانِ مَسْجِدِ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ سَأَلَ اللَّهَ حُكْمًا يُصَادِفُ حُكْمَهُ ، وَمُلْكًا لا يَنْبَغِي لأَحَدٍ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ ، وَلا يَأْتِي هَذَا الْمَسْجِدَ أَحَدٌ لا يُرِيدُ إِلا الصَّلاةَ فِيهِ إِلا خَرَجَ مِنْ خَطِيئَتِهِ كَيَوْمِ وَلَدَتْهُ أُمُّهُ " ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَمَّا اثْنَتَانِ فَقَدْ أُعْطِيَهُمَا ، وَأَنَا أَرْجُو أَنْ يَكُونَ قَدْ أُعْطِيَ الثَّالِثَةَ "
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When Sulaiman bin Dawud (peace be upon him) finished the construction of Bayt al-Maqdis, he prayed to Allah Almighty to grant him judgment in accordance with His command, and to grant him such a kingdom and authority that no one after him would be given, and that whoever comes to this mosque with the sole intention of performing prayer, may he be cleansed of sins as on the day his mother gave birth to him. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “The first two prayers were accepted, and I hope that the third prayer will also be accepted.”
