(572) بَابُ النَّهْيِ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الصُّبْحِ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ، وَبَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّى تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ بِذِكْرِ لَفْظٍ عَامٍّ مُرَادُهُ خَاصٌّThe chapter on the prohibition of praying after Fajr until sunrise, and after Asr until sunset, with a general phrase meant specifically
Hadith 1272
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَنْصُورٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ زَاذَانَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْعَالِيَةِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ غَيْرَ وَاحِدٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، مِنْهُمْ عُمَرُ ، وَكَانَ مِنْ أَحَبِّهِمْ إِلَيَّ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى عَنِ الصَّلاةِ بَعْدَ الْفَجْرِ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ ، وَبَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّى تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ "
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that I heard from several companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him), among whom Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) is also included, and he is the most beloved to me among them, that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) forbade (performing voluntary) prayer after the Fajr prayer until the sun rises and after the Asr prayer until the sun sets.
