جماع أبواب صلاة التطوع قاعداChapters on Voluntary Prayers while Sitting
(558) بَابُ ذِكْرِ خَبَرٍ رُوِيَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي صِفَةِ صَلَاتِهِ جَالِسًا حَسِبَ بَعْضُ الْعُلَمَاءِ أَنَّهُ خِلَافُ هَذَا الْخَبَرِ الَّذِي ذَكَرْنَاهُThe chapter mentioning a report about the Prophet's prayer while sitting, which some scholars thought contradicted the previous report
Hadith 1246
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ بُدَيْلٍ ، وَأَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يُصَلِّي لَيْلا طَوِيلا قَائِمًا ، فَإِذَا صَلَّى قَائِمًا رَكَعَ قَائِمًا ، وَإِذَا صَلَّى قَاعِدًا رَكَعَ قَاعِدًا "
Hazrat Abdullah bin Shaqiq narrates from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to stand for a long time at night and offer prayer. Therefore, when he (peace be upon him) prayed standing, he would also perform ruku‘ standing, and when he (peace be upon him) prayed sitting, he would also perform ruku‘ sitting.
