(539) بَابُ الْوَصِيَّةِ بِالْمُحَافَظَةِ عَلَى صَلَاةِ الضُّحَىThe chapter on the advice to maintain the Duha prayer
Hadith 1222
حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ ، عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : " أَوْصَانِي خَلِيلِي بِثَلاثٍ : بِصَوْمِ ثَلاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ ، وَلا أَنَامُ إِلا عَلَى الْوِتْرِ ، وَرَكْعَتَيِ الضُّحَى "
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that my beloved friend (ﷺ) advised me regarding three things: to fast three days every month, to perform Witr before sleeping, and to offer two units of Duha (forenoon) prayer.
