جماع أبواب ذكر الماء الذي لا ينجس، والذي ينجس إذا خالطته نجاسةChapters on Water that is Pure and Impure
(93) بَابُ ذِكْرِ الدَّلِيلِ عَلَى أَنْ لَا تَوْقِيتَ فِي قَدْرِ الْمَاءِ الَّذِي يَتَوَضَّأُ بِهِ الْمَرْءُ، فَيَضِيقُ عَلَى الْمُتَوَضِّئِ أَنْ يَزِيدَ عَلَيْهِ أَوْ يَنْقُصَ مِنْهُ،Chapter 93: Evidence that there is no fixed amount of water for ablution, and it is not restricted
Hadith 121
نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى الصَّنْعَانِيُّ ، نا الْمُعْتَمِرُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّهُ ، " أَبْصَرَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَصْحَابِهِ يَتَطَهَّرُونَ ، وَالنِّسَاءُ مَعَهُمُ الرِّجَالُ وَالنِّسَاءُ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ كُلُّهُمْ يَتَطَهَّرُ مِنْهُ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and his noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them) performing ablution together with their women; men and women were all performing ablution from the same vessel.
