(526) بَابُ الْأَمْرِ أَنْ يَرْكَعَ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ فِي الْبُيُوتِThe chapter on the command to pray the two units after Maghrib at home
Hadith 1201
حَدَّثَنَا بُنْدَارٌ ، نَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي الْوَزِيرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْفِطْرِيُّ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، قَالَ : صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلاةَ الْمَغْرِبِ فِي مَسْجِدِ بَنِي عَبْدِ الأَشْهَلِ فَلَمَّا صَلَّى قَامَ نَاسٌ يَتَنَفَّلُونَ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " عَلَيْكُمْ بِهَذِهِ الصَّلاةِ فِي الْبُيُوتِ "
Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) offered the Maghrib prayer in the mosque of the tribe of Banu Abd Ash-hal. When he (peace be upon him) had finished the prayer, the people stood up and began to offer the Sunnah prayers, so the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "You should offer this prayer in your homes."
