Hazrat Anbasa bin Abu Sufyan said to Amr bin Aws, "Shall I not narrate to you the hadith which Sayyida Umm Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her) has narrated to me?" I said, "Certainly, please narrate it." I think she said this to encourage interest in the hadith and to express happiness in it. He says that Sayyida Umm Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated to us that indeed the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever performs twelve rak'ahs of voluntary prayers in a day, a house is built for him in Paradise." Hazrat Anbasa says that since I heard about these rak'ahs from Sayyida Umm Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her), I have never left them. Janab Amr bin Aws says that since I heard the hadith about them from Hazrat Anbasa, I have never abandoned these rak'ahs. Janab Nu'man says that since I heard about them from Amr, I have never left them. Janab Dawood says, "But as for us, sometimes we perform them and sometimes we leave them." Janab Ibn 'Ulayyah also said these words or words similar to them. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that Janab Hushaym has omitted the link of Amr bin Aws in this chain. Whereas the authentic hadith is that of Ibn 'Ulayyah, which is mentioned in the other chapter and has been narrated by Mahbub bin Hasan.
