(505) بَابُ إِبَاحَةِ الْجَهْرِ بِبَعْضِ الْقِرَاءَةِ وَالْمُخَافَتَةِ بِبَعْضِهَا فِي صَلَاةِ اللَّيْلِThe chapter on the permissibility of reciting some parts aloud and some quietly in night prayer
Hadith 1159
نَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ يُونُسَ ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، نَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ جَمِيعًا ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ زَائِدَةَ بْنِ نَشِيطٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي خَالِدٍ الْوَالِبِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ : " أَنَّهُ كَانَ إِذَا قَامَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ رَفَعَ صَوْتَهُ طَوْرًا وَخَفَضَهُ طَوْرًا ، وَكَانَ يَذْكُرُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when he performed the Tahajjud prayer, he would sometimes raise his voice. And he stated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to do the same.
