جماع أبواب ذكر الوتر وما فيه من السننChapters on Witr and its Sunnahs
(456) بَابُ النَّائِمِ عَنِ الْوِتْرِ أَوِ النَّاسِي لَهُ يُصْبِحُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُوتِرَThe chapter on one who slept through Witr or forgot it and wakes up before praying Witr
Hadith 1092
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْخُزَاعِيُّ ، أنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ الدَّسْتُوَائِيِّ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ أَدْرَكَهُ الصُّبْحُ وَلَمْ يُوتِرْ ، فَلا وِتْرَ لَهُ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever reaches the morning without having prayed Witr, then he has no Witr."
