جماع أبواب ذكر الوتر وما فيه من السننChapters on Witr and its Sunnahs
(450) بَابُ إِبَاحَةِ الْوِتْرِ أَوَّلَ اللَّيْلِ إِنْ أَحَبَّ الْمُصَلِّي أَوْ وَسَطَهُ أَوْ آخِرَهُ، إِذِ اللَّيْلُ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ إِلَى طُلُوعِ الْفَجْرِ كُلُّهُ وَقْتُ الْوِتْرِThe chapter on the permissibility of praying Witr at the beginning, middle, or end of the night, as the night after Isha until Fajr is all Witr time
Hadith 1080
نَا بُنْدَارٌ ، نَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ جَعْفَرٍ ، نَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ضَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : " مِنْ كُلِّ اللَّيْلِ أَوْتَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، مِنْ أَوَّلِهِ وَأَوْسَطِهِ وَآخِرِهِ "
Sayyiduna Ali narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has performed Witr in every part of the night: in the early part of the night, in the middle of the night, and also in the last part of the night.
