Muhammad bin Munkadir says that I heard Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) saying that (once) I fell ill, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) came on foot to visit me. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) found me in a state of unconsciousness, so he performed ablution and poured (the remaining) water over me. (From that) I regained some consciousness, so I said, "O Messenger of Allah, how should I dispose of my wealth, how should I distribute my wealth?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not give me any answer, until the verse of inheritance was revealed « إِنِ امْرُؤٌ هَلَكَ لَيْسَ لَهُ ۔ ۔ ۔ » [ سورة النساء ] "If a person dies who has no children and has a sister, then half of what he leaves is hers." On one occasion, he said, "Until the verse of Kalalah was revealed."
