Hadith 7469
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ خَارِجَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : بَيْنَا نَحْنُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذْ سَمِعَ وَجْبَةً ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَتَدْرُونَ مَا هَذِهِ ؟ " ، قُلْنَا : اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ ، قَالَ : " هَذِهِ حَجَرٌ رُمِيَ بِهِ فِي النَّارِ مُنْذُ سَبْعِينَ خَرِيفًا ، فَالآنَ انْتَهَى إِلَى قَعْرِ النَّارِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once we were present with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). During that time, he heard a loud sound. He asked: Do you know what this is? We replied: Allah and His Messenger know best. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: This is a stone that was thrown into Hell seventy years ago; it has now reached its bottom.
