Hadith 7466
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأَزْدِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " اشْتَكَتِ النَّارُ إِلَى رَبِّهَا ، فَقَالَتْ : يَا رَبِّ ، أَكَلَ بَعْضِي بَعْضًا ، فَنَفِّسْنِي ، فَجَعَلَ لَهَا فِي كُلِّ عَامٍ نَفَسَيْنِ فِي الشِّتَاءِ وَالصَّيْفِ ، فَشِدَّةُ الْبَرْدِ الَّذِي تَجِدُونَ مِنْ زَمْهَرِيرِهَا ، وَشِدَّةُ الْحَرِّ الَّذِي تَجِدُونَ مِنْ حُرِّ جَهَنَّمَ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Hell complained to its Lord. It said: O my Lord! Some part of me consumes another part, so allow me to breathe. Allah Almighty allowed it to breathe twice every year: once in the winter and once in the summer. So the extreme cold that you experience is from the cold breath of Hell, and the extreme heat that you experience is from the heat of Hell’s breath.”
