باب وصف الجنة وأهلها - ذكر الإخبار عن وصف عنب الجنة الذي أعده الله للمطيعين في عباده-

أَخْبَرَنَا مَكْحُولٌ بِبَيْرُوتَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ الدَّارِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُعَمِّرُ بْنُ يَعْمَرَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ سَلامٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَخِي ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا سَلامٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عَامِرُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ الْبِكَالِيُّ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُتْبَةَ بْنَ عَبْدٍ السُّلَمِيَّ ، يَقُولُ : قَامَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : فِيهَا عِنَبٌ يَعْنِي : الْجَنَّةَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ " ، قَالَ : مَا عِظَمُ الْعُنْقُودِ مِنْهَا ؟ قَالَ : " مَسِيرَةُ شَهْرٍ لِلْغُرَابِ الأَبْقَعِ لا يَنْثَنِي وَلا يَفْتُرُ " ، قَالَ : مَا عِظَمُ الْحَبَّةِ مِنْهُ ؟ قَالَ : " هَلْ ذَبَحَ أَبُوكَ تَيْسًا مِنْ غَنَمِهِ قَطُّ عَظِيمًا ؟ " قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : " فَسَلَخَ إِهَابَهُ ، فَأَعْطَاهُ أُمَّكَ ، وَقَالَ : ادْبُغِي لَنَا هَذَا ، ثُمَّ افْرِي لَنَا مِنْهُ دَلْوًا نَرْوِي بِهِ مَاشِيَتَنَا ؟ " ، قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : فَإِنَّ تِلْكَ الْحَبَّةَ تُشْبِعُنِي وَأَهْلَ بَيْتِي ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ ، وَعَامَّةُ عَشِيرَتِكَ " .
Sayyiduna Utbah bin Abdus Salmi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A Bedouin stood before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! Will there be grapes in it? By this he meant, will there be grapes in Paradise? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes. He asked: How big will its clusters be? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: As far as the distance that a "spotted crow" covers in a month of continuous flight without stopping. The Bedouin asked: How big will its single grape be? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Has your father ever slaughtered a large male goat from among his goats? He replied: Yes. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Did he also skin it and give the skin to your mother and say: Take this, tan it for us and then make a water bag from it so that we may water our animals with it? The Bedouin replied: Yes. Then he said: A single grape will suffice me and all my family. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes, and it will suffice most of your family as well.
