Hadith 7415
أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ مُجَاشِعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْقَيْسِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ صَعْصَعَةَ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَدَّثَهُمْ ، قَالَ : " رُفِعَتْ لِي سِدْرَةُ الْمُنْتَهَى ، فَإِذَا نَبْقُهَا مِثْلُ قِلالِ هَجَرَ ، وَإِذَا وَرَقُهَا مِثْلُ آذَانِ الْفِيَلَةِ ، وَإِذَا أَرْبَعَةُ أَنْهَارٍ : نَهْرَانِ بَاطِنَانِ ، وَنَهْرَانِ ظَاهِرَانِ ، فَقُلْتُ : مَا هَذَا يَا جِبْرِيلُ ؟ قَالَ : أَمَّا الْبَاطِنَانِ ، فَنَهْرَانِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَأَمَّا الظَّاهِرَانِ ، فَالنِّيلُ وَالْفُرَاتُ " .
Sayyiduna Malik bin Sa’sa’ah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) informed those people of this matter. He said: The Sidrat al-Muntaha was brought before me, its fruits were like the jars of Hajar and its leaves were like the ears of elephants. There were four rivers there: two hidden rivers and two visible rivers. I asked: Jibril, what are these? He replied: As for the two hidden rivers, they are in Paradise, and as for the two visible rivers, they are the Nile and the Euphrates.
