Ibn Hibban

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Allah Almighty will say: "O son of Adam, I asked you for food, but you did not feed Me." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The servant will say: "O my Lord, how could I feed You when You are the Lord of all the worlds?" The Lord will say: "Did you not know that My such-and-such servant asked you for food, but you did not feed him? Did you not know that if you had fed him, you would have found (the reward for it) with Me? O son of Adam, I asked you for drink, but you did not give Me to drink." The servant will say: "O my Lord, how could I give You to drink when You are the Lord of all the worlds?" The Lord will say: "Did you not know that My such-and-such servant asked you for drink, but you did not give him to drink? Did you not know that if you had given him to drink, you would have found (the reward for it) with Me? O son of Adam, I was ill, but you did not visit Me." The servant will say: "O my Lord, how could I visit You when You are the Lord of all the worlds?" The Lord will say: "Did you not know that My such-and-such servant was ill, and if you had visited him, you would have found (the reward for it) with Me."
