Hadith 7356
أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ مُجَاشِعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْقَيْسِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ مُحْرِزٍ الْمَازِنِيِّ ، قَالَ : بَيْنَمَا أَنَا آخِذٌ بِيَدِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ إِذْ جَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ ، فَقَالَ : كَيْفَ سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فِي النَّجْوَى يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ؟ فَقَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُدْنِي الْمُؤْمِنَ مِنْهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى يَضَعَ كَنَفَهُ عَلَيْهِ ، فَيَسْتُرُهُ مِنَ النَّاسِ ، فَيَقُولُ : أَتَعْرِفُ ذَنْبَ كَذَا وَكَذَا ؟ فَيَقُولُ : نَعَمْ يَا رَبِّ ، فَيَقُولُ : أَتَعْرِفُ ذَنْبَ كَذَا وَكَذَا ؟ فَيَقُولُ : نَعَمْ يَا رَبِّ ، حَتَّى إِذَا قَرَّرَهُ بِذُنُوبِهِ ، وَظَنَّ فِي نَفْسِهِ أَنَّهُ قَدِ اسْتَوْجَبَ ، قَالَ : قَدْ سَتَرْتُهَا عَلَيْكَ مِنَ النَّاسِ ، وَإِنِّي أَغْفِرُهَا لَكَ الْيَوْمَ ، وَيُعْطَى كِتَابَ حَسَنَاتِهِ ، وَأَمَّا الْكُفَّارُ وَالْمُنَافِقُونَ ، فَيَقُولُ الأَشْهَادُ : هَؤُلاءِ الَّذِينَ كَذَبُوا عَلَى رَبِّهِمْ أَلا لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى الظَّالِمِينَ " .
Sayyiduna Safwan bin Mahraz Mazni (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once I was holding the hand of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both). During this, a man came to him and said: What did you hear the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say about the whispering (private conversation) on the Day of Resurrection? He replied: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "On the Day of Resurrection, Allah Almighty will bring the believer close to Himself, until He covers him with His veil and conceals him from the people. Then He will say: Do you recognize such and such sin? He will reply: Yes, my Lord. He will say: Do you recognize such and such sin? He will reply: Yes, my Lord, until Allah makes him confess his sins, and the person will think that he is doomed (to Hell). Then the Lord will say: I concealed your sins from the people, and today I forgive them for you. Then he will be given the record of his good deeds. As for the disbelievers and hypocrites, it will be announced before all the people: 'These are the ones who lied against their Lord. Beware! The curse of Allah is upon the wrongdoers.'"
