Hadith 7309
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ بِسْطَامٍ بِمَرْوٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حِصْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَلِيمِ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي الْحَجَّاجِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَوْ كَانَ الْعِلْمُ بِالثُّرَيَّا ، لَتَنَاوَلَهُ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَبْنَاءِ فَارِسٍ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "If knowledge were at Thurayya (the Pleiades star), some people from Persia would reach it." (Or they would obtain it from there as well.)
