Hadith 7307
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ رُشَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُهَاجِرٍ ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْجُرَشِيِّ ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ ، عَنِ النَّوَّاسِ بْنِ سَمْعَانَ ، قَالَ : فُتِحَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَتْحٌ ، فَأَتَيْتُهُ ، فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، سُيِّبَتِ الْخَيْلُ ، وَوَضَعُوا السِّلاحَ ، فَقَدْ وَضَعَتِ الْحَرْبُ أَوْزَارَهَا ، وَقَالُوا : لا قِتَالَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَذَبُوا ، الآنَ جَاءَ الْقِتَالُ ، الآنَ جَاءَ الْقِتَالُ ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ جَلَّ وَعَلا يُزِيغُ قُلُوبَ أَقْوَامٍ يُقَاتِلُونَهُمْ ، وَيَرْزُقُهُمُ اللَّهُ مِنْهُمْ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ عَلَى ذَلِكَ ، وَعُقْرُ دَارِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ الشَّامُ " .
Sayyiduna Nawas bin Sam'an (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When Allah granted victory to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), I came to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah! The horses have been let loose to graze, the weapons have been put down, the war has ended, and people are saying that there will be no more fighting." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "They are wrong. Now is the time for fighting, now is the time for fighting. Indeed, Allah will turn the hearts of some people crooked, and they will begin to fight those people. Allah will continue to provide sustenance to those people until Allah's command comes to pass, and at that time, the abode of the believers will be in Syria."
