Hadith 7292
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْقَطَّانُ بِالرَّقَّةِ ، حَدَّثَنَا نُوحُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ جَامِعِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ مُحْرِزٍ الرَّقَاشِيِّ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، قَالَ : جَاءَ وَفْدُ بَنِي تَمِيمٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ لَهُمْ : " أَبْشِرُوا يَا بَنِي تَمِيمٍ " ، قَالُوا : بَشَّرْتَنَا فَأَعْطِنَا ، فَتَغَيَّرَ وَجْهُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَجَاءَ وَفْدُ أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ ، فَقَالَ لَهُمْ : " أَبْشِرُوا يَا أَهْلَ الْيَمَنِ ، إِذْ لَمْ يَقْبَلِ الْبُشْرَى بَنُو تَمِيمٍ " .
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A delegation of Banu Tamim came to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) said to them: "O Banu Tamim, accept the glad tidings." They replied: "You have already given us glad tidings, now give us (wealth and property)." Upon this, the blessed face of the Prophet (peace be upon him) changed. Then a delegation from Yemen arrived, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "O people of Yemen, accept the glad tidings, because Banu Tamim did not accept this glad tidings."
