Hadith 7291
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " غِفَارُ ، وَأَسْلَمُ ، وَمُزَيْنَةُ وَمَنْ كَانَ مِنْ جُهَيْنَةَ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْحَلِيفَيْنِ غَطَفَانَ ، وَأَسَدٍ ، وَهَوَازِنُ ، وَتَمِيمٌ دُونَهُمْ ، فَإِنَّهُمْ أَهْلُ الْخَيْلِ وَالْوَبَرِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever belongs to the tribes of Ghifar, Aslam, Muzaynah, and Juhaynah—these people are better than the two rival tribes of Ghatafan and Banu Asad, while Hawazin and Tamim are of a lesser rank than them because they keep horses and live in deserted places."
