Hadith 7272
أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ الْجُمَحِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، وَالْحَوْضِيُّ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ الْبَرَاءَ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَنْ أَحَبَّ الأَنْصَارَ ، فَقَدْ أَحَبَّهُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ ، وَمَنْ أَبْغَضَ الأَنْصَارَ ، فَقَدْ أَبْغَضَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ ، لا يُحِبُّهُمْ إِلا مُؤْمِنٌ ، وَلا يُبْغِضُهُمْ إِلا مُنَافِقٌ " .
Sayyiduna Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: “Whoever loves the Ansar, Allah and His Messenger will love him, and whoever harbors enmity towards the Ansar, Allah and His Messenger will harbor enmity towards him. Only a believer will love them, and only a hypocrite will harbor enmity towards them.”
