Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to the graveyard. He said, "Peace be upon you, O dwellers of the abode of the believing people! If Allah wills, we shall also join you." (Then the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said:) "I wished that I could see my brothers." The people said, "O Messenger of Allah! Are we not your brothers?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Rather, you are my companions. My brothers are those who will come after (me). I will be their forerunner at the Hawd (Pond) of Kawthar." The people said, "O Messenger of Allah! How will you recognize those of your Ummah who will come after you?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "What do you think, if a man has a horse with a white blaze on its forehead among black horses, will he not recognize his horse?" The people said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "So when those people will come on the Day of Resurrection, their foreheads will be shining due to the traces of ablution, and I will be their forerunner at the Hawd (Pond) of Kawthar. And some people will be driven away from my Hawd just as a lost camel is driven away. I will call them, 'Come here, come here,' but it will be said: 'They changed (the commands of religion) after you.' So I will say: 'Be off, be off.'"
