Hadith 7202
أَخْبَرَنَا حَامِدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ ثَعْلَبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْمُؤَدِّبُ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ : أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " يَا جَرِيرُ ، إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنْ طَوَاغِيتِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ إِلا بَيْتُ ذِي الْخَلَصَةِ ، فَاكْفِينِهِ " ، قَالَ : فَخَرَجْتُ فِي سَبْعِينَ وَمِائَةٍ مِنْ قَوْمِي ، فَأَحْرَقْنَاهُ ، وَبَعَثْتُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلا يُبَشِّرُهُ يُكَنَّى أَبَا أَرْطَاةَ ، فَقَالَ : وَاللَّهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَا جِئْتُكَ حَتَّى تَرَكْتُهُ مِثْلَ الْبَعِيرِ الأَجْرَبِ ، فَقَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ فِي خَيْلِ أَحْمَسَ وَرِجَالِهَا " .
Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Jarir, among the places of worship from the Age of Ignorance, only Dhu’l-Khalasah remains; go on my behalf and destroy it as well. The narrator says: So I set out with seventy men from my tribe, and we burned it down. I sent a man to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to give him the good news; his kunyah was Abu Arta’ah. He said: O Messenger of Allah! By Allah, I have come to you at a time when I have left that idol-house like a mangy camel. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Allah, bless the horsemen and foot soldiers of the Ahmas tribe.
