Sayyiduna Jarir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When I approached the city of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), I made my mount kneel down, changed my clothes, and put on a cloak. Then I presented myself before the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) while he was delivering a sermon. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) greeted me with salam. The people began to look at me attentively. I asked the person sitting next to me: O servant of Allah! Has the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) mentioned anything about me? He replied: Yes, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has mentioned you in a very excellent manner. At that time, while delivering the sermon, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: From this door, a man will enter before you (the narrator is in doubt, perhaps these are the words:) From this path, a man will come, who will be extremely blessed, and an angel will have touched his face. (The narrator says) So I praised Allah Almighty for granting me this.
